AHA is an artist, an inspirer, a teacher… but most of all – she is just Helen.

Born in Sweden. Travel quite a bit. Finding inspiration, giving inspiration- anywhere in the world.

I choose to live true to my heart – and nothing else. I wish to share this with others through art. Some might know me as Helen the dancer, the teacher, the artist, the ceramist – do not try to put a label on me – I am everything, all and none of the above.

Art – for me – is something created from the soul, with all of our senses connected. To me – art can be abstract or figurative, I do work with all kinds – it is the presence of sense that makes art speak to me – and that is when it becomes art. To create or look at a piece and feel something.

I work with watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels and all kinds of drawing techniques – I master them all which allows me alot of space in my art.
When you buy art baring my signature -you are buying quality, you are buying something unique, you are buying true art.

RAKU – ceramics is one of my passions. I do work with with stoneware as well doing sculptures and commisions.

My paintings – what type of paintings I paint at a specific time depends alot on my mood and where I am in myself at this specific time. Sometimes I work by theme – I come back to angels, dragons, faces and fasades, poetry and urbanity.

I want to pass on emotions and afterthought with my paintings- I want you to look at them and feel something. This is why I never stick to one way of painting – because I feel different and we are all different and I want to make a difference in the world. We should all be just a little bit nicer to each other.
I give every piece of art it´s own ”soul”. This is why I rarely sign a painting until I sell it – cause it might need to evolve into something else – as long as it is still in my possession.

My ladies – my sculptures, are selfportraits – they represent my inner self, how I feel in that particular moment when I form the clay (or other medium). Sometimes the feeling evolve when I make the finishing touches – not fully aware of how I felt or what I was thinking at the starting point.
